9.5mm Pathe Film  We are one of the few conversion companies who have invested heavily in the purchase of new age equipment capable of safely bringing the delicate Pathe 9.5mm cine format into the digital era. Surprisingly, despite their age, these films often produce far superior images than the more popular and later 8mm formats. Standard 8mm This was the countries favourite movie film format up until the mid 60's when Super 8 came into play. Super 8mm With it's smaller sprocket holes, this film allowed a 25% larger film frame, which ultimately helped to improve the quality of the final projected image. 16mm The 16mm format was initially introduced at about the same time as the 9.5mm format around 1922. It's also the predcessor of 8mm film, which ultimately was directly derived from the splitting of 16mm stock down the middle, lengthways! Q. WHAT DO I DO NOW I'M READY TO ORDER?		Cine Transfers Apart from 35mm, we can safely convert and transfer all of the formats mentioned. This includes any magnetic sound track that may be present on your 8mm films, or Optical sound tracks on your 16mm. Cleaning Each reel of your film is carefully cleaned and checked for any broken or lose splices and any torn sprocket holes that may interrupt the transfer. If these are found they are repaired free of charge. Your film is then digitally mastered to our server for final production and output.   8mm 1 to 15 minutes £2.50 per min Over 15 minutes £1.10 9.5mm 1 to 15 minutes £3.00 Over 15 minutes £1.90 16mm 1 to 15 minutes £2.80 Over 15 minutes £1.70 Notes 1. If the overall running time of your film is less than 15 minutes, then the higher rate is applicable. 2. If your film already has a sound track on it and you want it transferred, then add 20% to the above price.
